It seems like forever since I last wrote a blog.....and I apologize for not doing so. I have started numerous times and then I have gone back and deleted the entire message without posting. I have come to this conclusion---I am going to try NOT to post about Covid-19 and how difficult life has become. We all know that things are not the same as they used to be and most likely will never be the same again. We will have a new "normal" and will need to adjust to a new way of doing things. So that being said, I am going to try to lighten your spirit, inspire you, and perhaps give you something to smile about!!
Please be aware that we are back open the same hours as always. The only difference is that Sunday and Monday are now by appointment only. Just call the shop (608/883-9922) during regular business hours to set up an appointment (preferably by the Friday before). We will try to schedule you in for the day/time you wish and ample time for you to make your selections. If no private appointments are scheduled on those 2 days, the Shoppe will not be open.
Looking for some inspiration? Want to get a head start on your holiday gift knitting? (I personally know of one person who is already finished!!) We have some fantastic quick knit projects done up to get you started. New shipments of Koigu, Malabrigo, and Sirdar have arrived. We also have a new line of DK weight yarn that has been dyed (in the U.S.!!) exclusively for our Shoppe....Grandma Lou's "Private Label DK". At the present time we have 16 colors to choose from and will add more as time goes on.
We have also been doing a lot of re-organizing throughout the Shoppe! Some yarns are not going to be readily available anymore so they are being marked down price wise. We are planning on having a Summer Sidewalk type Sale from Friday, July 31 - Saturday, August 8. Be assured that "social distancing" will be taken into account so you will not have to be concerned about it being too congested for safe shopping. Stay tuned for further information. We will post details on Facebook/our website and send out an email. So, finish up those projects and come see us for new inspiration!!
