Just when we thought everything was going great and we were done with hospital stays for Gordon.....we are headed back this afternoon. As most of you are aware, my husband has had numerous health issues over the past 10+ years with the latest being a dissected aorta in August of 2017 (and let's not forget the valve repair and valve replacement that took place in June of that same year when they had to re-open because Gordon's blood pressure didn't cooperate).
Well, there have been some complications from the dissected aorta surgery, plus the valve that was repaired has a small leak, so tomorrow he will be having surgery yet again to fix these things. Since he has to be at the hospital by 5:30 a.m. we are going to go to Madison this afternoon in hopes of avoiding the impending snowstorm. At least this way we will only have the short drive from the hotel to the hospital.
The shoppe will remain open....although at this point in time I do not know what my schedule will be beyond Wednesday. Since surgery is projected to take 10+ hours I can pretty much guarantee that I will not be here until the end of the week. I will be keeping Bailey updated on the situation and she will be available here to help you with all your problems.....okay, just knitting/crocheting :-)
I do have projects packed...way too many, but I'm not sure what my concentration level will be and I am definitely am going to need something to calm me and keep my mind off things, and help to pass the waiting time.
Please keep positive thoughts coming our way!!!
Sending prayers and support to you and Gordon!!
Love to you and your family
