Being Thankful....

Happy Thanksgiving 'Eve'!

This blog may come off a bit 'emotional', so bear with me...

I've been starting to do some reflecting about the past year and all that has happened  over the last 12 months.  It has not been an easy year by any means.....but I find that I have so many things to be thankful for.  The end result of everything that has occurred since the beginning of 2019 could have been so much different (and not in a good way).

With Gordon going through his 4th open heart surgery in less than two years, our entire family has had many ups and downs.  There have been good days, bad days and days where I just didn't think I could handle anything more.....but somehow, everyone managed to get through the roller coaster and ended up standing at the end of it!!!

I guess what I'm getting to is that there would have been no way that I could have possibly gotten through everything without the people around me.  I feel so fortunate to have such a great support system....I could not ask for better sons and "daughters"...and the diversion that the grandchildren are so great at providing was the best therapy available :)   I have had to be out of the shoppe a lot more than I would have liked, and all of my customers have been so understanding when I had to be away from the shoppe...when we could not offer our usual number of classes....when I'd have to leave in the middle of the day.....etc.

I have the best customers a shop owner could ask for!!!  So, this Thanksgiving, I want to thank each and every one of you for not only being my customer and allowing me to feed your "addiction" but also for being my friend and listening and caring about me (and my family).

And, last but certainly not least, I have the best employee an employer could ask for.....Bailey!!!   Not only did she keep the shoppe running at full speed while I was away, she kept me grounded, listened to my concerns and lent me her shoulder many times.   There is no way I can possibly thank her enough for everything she did for me....and continues to do.

So, I for one will be counting my blessings tomorrow as I have so much to be thankful for.  I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
