I have been busy working on the Christmas Stockings I told you about in my last post. So far I have finished 11.....and those have been picked up and delivered to their new "homes"! I also have the names that are to go on 11 more, so I am good to go for a while. At this rate, I'll be finished way ahead of schedule and that is such a great feeling.

Who and what is "Grandma Lou's Private Label DK" Yarn?
First of all, Grandma Lou is me!! One day my son, Cody "Lou", and I were discussing with his children how he and I had the same middle name and how it was after my father, Luther. (Everyone always called him "Lou" for short.) Cody's kids thought that was so cool that they have called me "Grandma Lou" ever since.
So, when we had the opportunity to develop our own "private" line of DK weight yarn and were contemplating what to call it....Grandma Lou's just seemed appropriate.
Now that you know how the name came to be, let me tell you a little more about the yarn itself!! It is a gorgeous 100% Superwash Merino Wool that is dyed and spun right here in the U.S.! At the present time we are offering 55 diffferent colors in both solids and variegateds. There is 275 yds in a skein and it retails for $26.00/skein. It is fast becoming a favorite of many of our customers as it has such a beautiful finish and is so great to knit with.
